Campus Wide Policies
Plugging in personal computers into portions of the network located outside student dorm rooms is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Doing so jeapordizes the stability and security of the protected segments of the Campus network.
Installation or use of unauthorized or pirated software on University-owned computers is strictly prohibited.
Inappropriate usage of the network include, but are not limited to:
- Harassment of other users.
- Destruction of or damage to equipment, software, or data belonging to Manhattanville College or other users.
- Disruption or unauthorized monitoring of electronic communications.
- Violations of computer system security.
- Unauthorized use of computer accounts, access codes, passwords, or other network identification words or numbers assigned to others.
- Use of computer and/or network facilities in ways that impede the computing activities of others.
- Violation of another user's privacy.
- Violation of applicable laws, regulations, or policies.
