Dance Troupe Gets Bid to Nationals

Manhattanville College’s Dance Troupe went to their second competition of the semester on February 16th 2008 at Queens College. The competition was held by Eastern Dance Association, a prominent organization that travels up and down the east coast.
The 12-member Dance Troupe claimed victory in the jazz and hip-hop categories in the college division of the event. The performance earned the squad a bid to Final Destination Nationals in early May.
“I am extremely proud of the girls and all the hard work we have put into this competition has really paid off,” says Cosmina LaBella, one of the four Dance Troupe captains. “We couldn’t have done it without the support of Athletics, President Berman, Student Activities and students.”
Manhattanville’s Dance Troupe is a completely student-run operation. The group performs on the Manhattanville campus at a variety of sporting events and is also active in community service.
