Inter-Library Loan

InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is a way to get books and articles which are not owned by Manhattanville College Library in our print or electronic collections. ILL services are available to all Manhattanville faculty, staff and current graduate and undergraduate students with a valid Manhattanville College ID.

How to Request Books and Articles

In the Library

Book Requests: Before ordering a book through ILL, check the library catalog. Items in the catalog are owned by Manhattanville College Library and cannot be requested. If a book is "available" in CastleCat but not on the shelf, ask us to search for the book. If the book is still missing after our search, we can place an ILL request for you.

Article Requests: Before ordering an article through ILL, first look up the periodical title in our Journals  list to verify that the article is not available full-text in one of our subscription databases or in paper. Items owned by Manhattanville College Library are not eligible for ILL.

ILLiad

The Manhattanville College Library uses ILLiad as its  new and incredibly improved Interlibrary Loan System.  With ILLiad you can place requests, check the status of your requests, renew materials, and communicate with the Interlibrary Loan Office all through the Web.

If you would like to know more about the benefits of using the new system, please look at ILLiad's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Help pages.
