Leadership & Strategic Management

This 39-credit Master of Science degree fosters the development of effective leadership skills, while providing advanced training in strategic management and planning. The learning is current, streamlined, and designed to allow managers and executives to excel in a rapidly changing and increasingly global work environment. Students in this graduate program are corporate managers and executives, not-for-profit professionals, and business owners, representing various industries, disciplines, and career levels. The students are united in their common goal to enhance their effectiveness in leading, motivating others, implementing change, and striving toward professional and personal growth.

The curriculum consists of 12 courses; nine are required and three are open to choice. A final integrative project is also required and includes a paper and oral presentation focused on a workplace situation. Students may be eligible to "challenge" up to six credits of course work based on recent work experience by submitting a carefully organized portfolio to demonstrate competence.

Courses include: Strategic and Global Planning for Leaders, Global Economics, Leadership & Teams, Managerial Finance, Business Ethics and Social Responsibility, Managerial Finance, Information Technology Management, and Motivation, Creativity and Critical Thinking.
